Mollie & Bill's Wedding
Date: June 21, 2014
Color Palette: Ivory, whites and blush
Ceremony & Reception: Castle Hill, Newport, RI
Mollie and Bill planned a fabulous wedding weekend for all of their guests. They kicked off the weekend with the wedding party and family sailing around Newport aboard the Aquidneck. Friday afternoon, Mollie and the girls had lunch on the porch at the Clarke Cooke House on Bowens Wharf in Newport. It was a beautiful late spring afternoon and the beautiful weather continued all weekend long.
The Tennis Hall of Fame proved to be the perfect setting for their rehearsal dinner, followed by a Welcome Party for all out-of-town guests. Great music and fun food set the tone for the main event the next day.
The wedding day was spectacular. After a beautifully touching ceremony overlooking the water, guests were greeted with Del's Lemonade (spiked and non-spiked), a great raw bar and slider bar, lots of great cocktails and delicious passed hors d'oeuvres.
The dinner tent was stunning. The ceiling was draped with ivory fabric swags and crystal chandeliers and the linens were an ivory patterned overlay with amazing ivory and blush flowers. To top it off, we added a very cool black and white dance floor that certainly got a lot of use that evening. All the guests danced into the wee hours of the night and after, went into the main house of the Inn and partied even more. Sunday brunch at the Landing on Bowens Wharf was a perfect ending to a remarkable wedding weekend. Mollie and Bill had the best time planning their special weekend and really didn't want it to end!
