Amy & Tom's Wedding Weekend
Date: August 16-18, 2013
Wedding Color Pallete: Red, White & Blue, Gold Accents
Location: Family Home- Concord, MA
Amy and Tom met in high school in Massachusetts but didn’t start dating until after college when Amy moved to London. Tom grew up in England and Amy in the States so they decided to have a British American themed wedding at Amy’s family home in Concord.
The rehearsal dinner festivities were held in their barn with a rustic theme with white washed farm tables and beautiful flowers in shades of coral, yellow and pink. There was a wonderful three-course dinner paired with very special wines and lots of fun toasts.
The wedding day was magical. It was a beautiful summer day and Amy and Tom got married under a beautiful floral arbor in the backyard of their home over looking a little pond. Amy’s brother and Tom’s sister married them. After the ceremony, the cocktail hour was in a blue star tent complete with a Pimm’s bar and lots of American and English hors d’oeuvres.
The reception tent was a real WOW. Navy blue linens, red flowers, gold accents and the tent chandeliers were overflowing with red flowers, as well. Right before the toasts started, we surprised Amy and Tom with “You - The Musical”, a group of Broadway singers from New York that wrote songs about the couple and sang them to their favorite tunes. It was amazing!
The band was great and everyone danced into the wee hours of the night… and then back to the blue star tent for the after party, which went on until early morning. Sunday brunch was a great farewell to a weekend that most of the guests who attended will never forget.
